The real estate content library is a continuously updated collection of online local real estate information for which our system generates geographic latitude/longitude data (in a process known as “geolocation”) and ranks that information using a relevancy index. The collection, geolocation, and relevancy methods are completely automated and currently are available in 83 different countries. Geolocation allows relationships such as distance to be established and show what content is clustered around a given location on earth.
Think of the library this way: it is local information from a variety of sources that knows where it is in relation to everything else in the library and can be included on your own website or blog as context to your real estate videos or listing information.
Where Does Content in The Library Come From?

The Vidlisting real estate content library isn't limited to a small set of bloggers or a single blogging web site. We dont need to input feeds from individual web sites (although we can). We are able to find and map standard or customized information about the United States and over 80 other countries . Our fully automated system sources content 24 hours a day from all over the web in multiple languages. After mining that information, the next step is to determine the local area for that infomration and calculate how useful (or relevant) that information is. The system then periodically re-evaluates the usefulness of infomation based on a set of constantly updated factors.
There are two elements of the library:
Public Real Estate Content Collection: The public content collection consists of online marketing reports, blog based market reports, and website listing information that have been geolocated by our content platform and made freely available to the public. There is an automated and standardized relevancy index that is calculated and assigned to content in the library ranging from 95% relevant down to 10% relevant. The baseline for consistently correct and usable content from the library starts at 40% and above. Vidlisting is currently collecting public real estate content in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Custom Real Estate Content Collections: Organizational customers such as real estate agencies, listings portals, local real estate associations, and property tour providers can request custom collections of online content to be assembled based on the unique content needs of that given organization. Custom real estate content collections can be for any type of online real estate content, in any language, and assigned custom relevancy measures in line with the organizations needs. Organizations can specifically exclude or include particular sites or types of content based on their needs.
How Can I Use Information From The Content Library?
All real estate is local. The library provides a number of different ways to use the geotargeted links contained within. Some ideas include the following:
Use The Vidlisting Search Tool:We have integrated the content library into our website search capabilities. By using our search, you'll not only get results for our video content but also matching items from the public content library.
Link To Local Pages In Your Listings Or With Videos/Virtual Tours: You can be sure to have the latest always updated real estate related hyperlocal links to a specific local area by linking to your own local real estate content page. You can find the link for your page using the below tool:
Add Vidlisting Local Content To Your Listings Or Blog Using RSS:you can add always updated, highly relevant content links to your listings, videos, or blog post by comsuming the RSS feed associated with your local real content page. There is no cost to do this for personal use in a single location or on a commercial oriented blog for a single location.
Use The Vidlisting Content Web Service:Web developers and mobile application developers can quickly and easily add public or custom geotargeted content to their applications. The application does not even need to be "geo-aware" as our web service can accept lat/longs as well as town names as inputs for content requests.
How Does The Content Library Deal With Copyright
The content library does not actually hold content itself so there are no issues with copyright or fair use. In almost all cases, the information that we generate about the content such as latitude and longitude has never been generated before or assigned to that content. The library maintains a reference to the external content – the system maintains the automated value-added data that we generate in conjunction with that reference.
Automated Self Correction
Vidlisting has built automation that constantly searches for content that hasn’t been located correctly or has a higher relevancy for a different location. Since its automated, this self correcting mechanism is running 24 hours a day and constantly improving the quality of the content identified within the database.
The below auto-updating table shows library content that has been previously located by the system but the automated self correction mechanism has identified a significantly more appropriate and more relevant latitude and longitude for the content. You can easily compare the revised location and relevance with the original location assigned by the system. While not 100% perfect, you'll see that the system has an acceptable level of corrective capability. This table will change as new corrections are made by the system.
