The Vidlisting custom conversion and hosting feature provide the capability to choose exactly how customers would like to convert their videos and the choice of where to place the finished video file after conversion. This is a particularly attractive option for real estate organizations such as brokerages, portals, and agencies that have the online infrastructure to self host videos on their own server but do not wish to build their own upload and conversion capability.
It is also ideal for being able to automatically group video content from multiple sources in one place and in a common format. No manual intervention is required such as having to move content from separate accounts into networks or groups. This is literally a hands-off upload feature.
This feature allows for preview and approval of content before the content goes live and becomes generally viewable on the internet.
On The Vidlisting.com Domain: This feature is a custom feature esigned for use on Vidlisting member websites. It is not available for uploads originating from the standard online Vidlisting video upload and conversion form.
On Vidlisting Members’ Websites: This feature allows members to use only video upload and conversion portion of Vidlisting. Simply put, an eligible member can place a converted video file whereever they'd like. The member retains complete control over how the video is converted (formats, size, etc.) as well as where the video is automatically sent after conversion. This post-conversion location can include any of an organization's servers worldwide.
Gold and Premium level members (including trial period members) are able to configure their conversion choices from within the Vidlisting member area and create a conversion widget. The configuration menu allows for custom designs and password protection if the member chooses.
Once configured, the member simply copies the code provided in the configuration menu and pastes it into the desired webpage where the upload capability is desired. The uploads are essentially unlimited as only a person trying to build a competing business would reach them. Vidlisting members have their choice of six conversion formats for their converted real estate video files.
Members also are able to configure their widgets to send video to any location accessible to the internet via FTP and for which the member has access credentials. This FTP authentication information is also entered into the widget’s configuration menu.
Vidlisting corporate members have the choice of using the configurable widget or the developer application programming interfaces (APIs) to design and configure their own form. This feature is not available to free level members or to unregistered guests.
On Self Hosting Partner Sites: Self hosting partners using the developer application programming interfaces (API) have access to the most granular configuration and conversion options for creating an self hosting or locally shared upload form. The self hosting APIs can also perform notification to permit fully automated fulfillment within the organization's applications. Self hosting partners may also choose to use the widget as described above.
